FAQ
Price
What does it cost to have a diamond made from ashes?
The price of producing a diamond varies based on its weight and desired colour. The cost is influenced by the amount of time required for the growth process, carat weights and colouring options. Consult our different specifications for diamonds.
Do I get a discount when buying multiple diamonds?
If you have more than 1 diamond made, you will enjoy an attractive discount:
Buy 2 diamonds = 5% discount

What is the difference in price between a natural diamond and a synthetic diamond?
Both are real diamonds, but they have a different value. We don’t usually compare the prices of both. Diamonds made of organic material have a lot more emotional value because they carry the soul of a loved one.

Process
How many ashes or hair do you need for a commemorative diamond?
To have a commemorative diamond made, we need about 120 grams of cremation ash or 1 gram of hair. Combinations are also possible.
How long does it take to have an ash diamond made?
The manufacturing process of an ash diamond is unique to each diamond. We aim to deliver your diamond within 4 months from the order date, depending on the requested colour, shape, weight and optional services.
Can I use my deceased pet's ashes to make a diamond?
Deliver your deceased pet’s ashes and grow your unique diamond. A pet diamond is a lasting memento of your beloved four-legged friend.
Can I use ashes that have stood at home for an ash diamond?
You can, ashes do not decay. The same goes for a lock of hair. We collect the organic material and have it made into an ash diamond.
Is hair a suitable material for an ash diamond?
Yes, we can extract about 45% carbon from hair, enough to grow an ash diamond.
Can I use material other than cremated ashes to make a diamond?
You certainly can. All materials containing carbon are suitable for having a Love Diamond made. Think of a postcard from your first holiday together or a piece of a dried bouquet from your first date.
How are the colours of a diamond created?
The natural colour of a diamond is usually dark yellow. Removing nitrogen and keeping boron in the carbon turns the diamond blue. To make a pure colourless diamond, the carbon must have a high purity.
